General questions

How long is the web development phase?

The web development phase is officially 30 days long. However on average it takes 1.5 – 2.5 weeks to complete. This primarily depends on how fast the business owner is able to send us the necessary material needed to build his/her website.

Is there a limit on the number of update requests I make? And do I have to pay for them?

No there is not. All content updates to your site are funded by Devils for Businesses–they are free to you.

What is the pricing for web hosting and maintenance?

Hosting and maintenance is $20/month. This includes hosting your domain name as well as e-mails. You get up to 3 professional e-mails with the Connect Program.

Do you limit the quota on my e-mails?

No, use as much data as you like.

Questions about updating your site:

How do I request an update on my site?

For us to update your site, please submit an update request through the special form on our site.

Could I simply send you what I need updated to your support e-mail? (without using the update form)

Unfortunately no. For us to be able to offer unlimited free updates, we must have a way to organize everything into one place—the special update form is what allows us to do so. Any update requests sent by any other mean will not go anywhere and will not be processed.

What updates am I allowed to request?

Our update form is for content updates. Content updates include any writings or images which can be added onto your site.  Content updates also include editing preexisting written content on your site.

How long does it take for my site to be updated?

As of June 2015, content update requests will take 1-5 days to be implemented.

It has been a while and my site has not been updated. What is going on?

Please notify us if your update request is not implemented within 5 days.

What is the role of my project manager once web development is completed?

Your project manager is your main contact throughout the Connect Program’s web development phase (usually the first 30 days). Once your project is completed, the project manager’s task is completed as well, and any further updates are handled efficiently by our online update form.

Questions about building your site:

In terms of web development, what is needed from me as the business owner?

1. Send in the initial Content for your site. This includes writings about your business as well as any images you would like to have on your site. This also includes your company’s logo.  We highly recommend to use our content submission form.
2. Grant us access to your domain registrar so that we direct your domain to our servers. If you would like to do this part yourself, we’ll send you the necessary information needed for you to do so.

What if I do not have a logo?

We’ll create a text-based logo of your business name.

I am quite busy. Is it ok if I send you the content after the initial 30 days of signing up?

Yes, but we prefer that we complete your project within the first 30 days of when you sign up.
